DESCRIPTION:Outo Kuopio (Strange Kuopio) sound installation seeks oddities in the city’s everyday life and moments perceived as ordinary. Can the jogging trails of Puijo or the pulse of the city sound mysteriously exciting? What would Kuopio sound like\, for example\, from the perspective of an alien civilization or even just a small child? \n\n\n\nOuto Kuopio is a soundscape created by composer Jaakko Metsäpelto\, using sounds from the urban area of Kuopio and the forest of Puijo.

DESCRIPTION:Kuopio Art Museum organizes open guided tours to the Paradise exhibition on Tuesdays 16 July and 6 August at 2 PM. \n\n\n\nParadise – Collection Kakkonen & Marianne Huotari\, Ninni Luhtasaari\, Pekka Paikkari ja Armi Teva is on display in Kuopio Art Museum 7 June – 1 September 2024. At the heart of this exhibition presenting Finnish ceramic art are the variety of shapes\, abundance of colors\, sensitivity\, and humour. In Paradise\, the old masters of ceramic art from Juselius to Kaipiainen meet the most intriguing artists of the contemporary ceramic art scene. \n\n\n\nThe internationally recognised Marianne Huotari’s roots in textile art are visible in her ceramic works. Ninni Luhtasaari and Armi Teva play tricks with materials and art. Pekka Paikkari’s works combine massiveness and sensitivity. Collection Kakkonen has lent the works of Birger Kaipiainen\, Elin Juselius\, Tyra Lundgren\, Michael Schilkin and Taisto Kaasinen to the exhibition. \n\n\n\nParticipation to the guided tour is included in the the art museum’s admission fee of €10/€5\, under 18-year-olds free and Museum Card is also an accepted means of entry.
