The theme for KUMMA’s 2027 summer exhibition is love. The exhibition will feature site-specific artworks made by an artist, Pinja Valja which explores the Western concept of love. Her works will explore love through the artist’s family history, which is connected to the art museum building. We aim to showcase other contemporary artworks too that deal with love from various perspectives.  

We are interested in artworks created using all contemporary art techniques. You can propose an idea of an art piece or existing completed artworks.  

The application deadline is August 31st, 2025. The exhibition will be curated by KUMMA’s director, Anna Vilkuna and exhibition curator, Marja Louni.
